Julio Foolio Murder Suspect Claims His Group Is Innocent & Slams Police Over ‘Illegal’ Arrest: ‘Y’all Got The Wrong People’

One of the men accused in the high-profile murder of rapper Julio Foolio is proclaiming his innocence.

In a series of fiery Instagram Stories posted Monday (May 5), Isaiah Chance — one of five suspects charged in the killing of Foolio — claimed that police have arrested the wrong people.
________
Chance cast serious doubt on the investigation, writing:

“They saying the murder vehicle just seen leaving the general area — the same area our already reserved Airbnb was. But still, we sitting here. This is wrong. Y’all got the wrong people. This is illegal.”

In a follow-up post, Chance doubled down on his claims of innocence, adding:

“Thank God this is almost over with. And thank everybody who got — and still getting — interviewed, keeping it real. Y’all and the evidence clearly show we wasn’t involved. I don’t know why they keep trying to force it.”

________
Jacksonville rapper Foolio, born Charles Andrew Jones II, was gunned down on June 23, 2024, in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn in Tampa, Florida. Police say the murder was a targeted hit tied to a gang war.

According to authorities, Chance, along with Alicia Andrews, Sean Gathright, and brothers Davion and Rashad Murphy, allegedly traveled from Jacksonville to Tampa to execute the attack. Officials claim Chance and Andrews tracked Foolio’s movements across the city, while Davion, Rashad, and Gathright were identified as the shooters.
________
Surveillance footage reportedly shows three individuals firing high-powered rifles at Foolio’s vehicle before fleeing the scene. All five suspects have been charged with first-degree murder and related crimes. Each has pleaded not guilty.

Thoughts? How do you think this case will play out?
