Garcelle Beauvais Inks 2 New Movies w/ Lifetime — Set To Star In & Produce Both Projects
Garcelle Beauvais is leveling up her post-“Real Housewives” era with two new Lifetime films that she’ll both star in and executive produce.
The first, “Taken at a Truck Stop: A Black Girl Missing Movie,” is a high-stakes thriller where Beauvais plays a trucker-turned-heroine searching for her abducted niece.
The second, “Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted 2 Love,” is a romance sequel set in Ireland, reuniting Garcelle Beauvais’ character with a former flame under complicated, mouthwatering circumstances.
“I’m thrilled to continue telling stories that resonate deeply with audiences and put women—especially Black women—at the center,” Garcelle Beauvais told Deadline.
Lifetime exec Elaine Frontain Bryant praised Beauvais as “an undeniable creative force,” underscoring the network’s push for diverse, women-led narratives.
Congrats Garcelle! Will you be tuning in?
