Smokey Robinson Was Reportedly Investigated For 2015 $exual A$$ault But Never Charged
Smokey Robinson was previously investigated for an alleged s*xual ass*ult in 2015, but the case did not result in charges due to insufficient evidence, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office confirmed.
Attorneys for Jane Does 1–4 stated, “The statement…confirms that charges were not filed…due to insufficient evidence—not because the claims lacked merit.”
They added this “underscores the significant challenges victims face… particularly when the alleged perpetrator is a powerful and well-known figure.”
The 2015 accuser is not among the four women in the current civil lawsuit, which has prompted a new investigation. Robinson denies the claims.
