Former ‘RHOA’ Star Dwight Eubanks Reveals Prostate Cancer Diagnosis, Shares Missed Warning Signs, & Pushes For Black Men To Get Screened
Dwight Eubanks is opening up about his prostate cancer diagnosis.
The former RHOA star, 64, told PEOPLE he got the diagnosis after a health fair at his church in January. A follow-up PSA test in April confirmed the news. He said:
“I was shocked. I was angry. I was just emotionally a wreck.”
Eubanks, who has lived with HIV since the 80s, shared that following the diagnosis, his doctors reviewed old medical records and realized his PSA levels were high back in 2022 but were never flagged:
“I was like, are you kidding me?… I guess they just weren’t looking at that.”

He’s now working with doctors on a treatment plan and partnering with ZERO Prostate Cancer as a brand ambassador to raise awareness, especially among Black men:
“I could not be silent with this because it could help people… ask questions, look at your records, investigate.”
Despite the setback, Eubanks is staying positive. He said:
“I feel good. I’m 64, that’s young to me… When we reach those bridges, you have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and carry on. Because life really is a beautiful thing.”
Wishing him a speedy recovery!
