Tyrese Asks Girlfriend Zelie Timothy To ‘Please Be Patient’ As They Navigate Marriage Talks

Tyrese is getting real about his relationship with longtime girlfriend, influencer Zelie Timothy.

After reposting Halle Berry’s recent comments about not needing to be married to validate the love she has for her man, singer Van Hunt, Tyrese opened up about his own relationship and asked Zelie to give him grace as they figure things out.

He wrote, in part: “2 for me… 3 for her… Is the institution of marriage dead?”

He continued:

“Can we ever get to a place where we feel WHOLE in a relationship and feel like you are truly in love and HAVE your PERSON without marrying them when marriage in itself has caused so much trauma and pain?”

Tyrese shared that he and Zelie have been “having a lot of conversations about marriage, divorce, settling in, figuring it out,” and pointed to his ongoing legal battle as a major source of anxiety:

“My marriage coming up on five years is still I repeat still not officially finalized? Imagine that…”

He concluded:

“Zelie, please please continue to be patient with me.”
