Robin Thicke Says Usher Stepped In As Groomsman At His Wedding After Friend Got COVID
When one groomsman dropped out, Robin Thicke called in a longtime friend to save the day.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Robin Thicke revealed that Usher stepped in after one of his groomsmen tested positive for COVID and couldn’t attend his wedding to longtime partner April Love Geary.
“Usher was already coming to the wedding, and I was like, ‘Hey buddy, you mind filling in?’” Robin said.

He added,
“I didn’t want to ask him originally, even though he’s closer to me than some of the other groomsmen, but he was very generous with his spirit to fill in for us.”
Usher joined six other groomsmen at the May 30 ceremony in Cabo San Lucas.
