#TJBRemembers: Takeoff On His 31st Heavenly Birthday
Today, we honor the life and legacy of Migos rapper Takeoff, who would’ve turned 31 on June 18.
Takeoff was a quiet powerhouse in hip-hop, known for his smooth delivery, sharp lyricism, and laid-back presence. Alongside Quavo and Offset, he helped shape a new era of rap as one-third of Migos, the group that brought us hits like Versace, Bad and Boujee, and Stir Fry, forever shifting the sound and culture of modern hip-hop.

Tragically, Takeoff was shot and killed in November 2022 following an altercation at a bowling alley in Houston. His passing shook the music world, but his influence and artistry continue to resonate through his music and the legacy he helped build.
