Nike Delays Launch Of New Activewear Line w/ Kim Kardashian Due to Production Issues, Source Says
Nike and Kim Kardashian are putting their activewear collab on pause.
The new line, dubbed Nike Skims, was first announced in February and was expected to drop this spring. However, according to reports, the launch has been delayed due to production issues.
In a previous press release, the collection was described as an effort to disrupt the “global fitness and activewear industry with best-in-class innovation in service of all women athletes.” Few details have been revealed, and the NikeSkims landing page hasn’t been updated since the original announcement.
The delay comes as Nike works to recover from recent missteps and a dip in sales. The company’s stock has fallen nearly 20% this year as it faces growing competition from brands like Lululemon and Alo Yoga.
