Chicago Celebrity Hairstylist Zahrie Walls Passes Away After Falling From Boat On Lake Michigan
Sad news!
A weekend meant for fun quickly turned tragic and fatal.
A hot weekend in Chicago sadly resulted in the death of celebrity hairstylist Zahrie “Z Money” Walls. The 27-year-old joined friends for a spontaneous boating trip Saturday (June 21) on Lake Michigan. At some point during the outing, Walls fell from the boat into the lake near Chicago’s Navy Pier. According to reports, she was recovered from the water and rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Speaking on her untimely passing with the Chicago Tribune, Walls’ mother, Kizzy Wells, said,
“It was just a spur-of-the-moment thing. She was on a boat and allegedly fell off due to the current. She doesn’t go out much because she works all the time, traveling to different cities. My baby works so hard. She was doing 10 to 12 hair appointments a day.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of Zahrie during this challenging time.
