Lawyer Behind $20 Million Sexual Misconduct Lawsuit Against Fat Joe Arrested After Allegedly Running Over Process Server
Drama continues in the legal battle involving Fat Joe as his accuser’s attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, was arrested for allegedly hitting a process server with his car.
According to the NYPD, Blackburn was taken into custody Wednesday morning (June 25) and booked for assault. The incident reportedly happened on May 12 when a 66-year-old messenger was serving Blackburn a complaint related to the Fat Joe case. Police say Blackburn backed up his vehicle and struck the process server in the leg, causing a minor injury.

This arrest ties into a dispute between Fat Joe and his legal team, led by attorney Joe Tacopina, and Blackburn’s client, Terrance Dixon. Tacopina explained that Blackburn initially sent a demand letter to Fat Joe for $3 million, claiming Dixon co-wrote music with the rapper. After the letter was ignored, Blackburn followed up with allegations that Fat Joe was involved with minors.
To get ahead of the situation, Tacopina said they filed a defamation and extortion lawsuit against Blackburn and Dixon. Tacopina then hired the messenger to serve the complaint to Blackburn, which led to the alleged car incident.
Dixon later filed his own $20 million lawsuit accusing Fat Joe of sexual misconduct and being a pedophile.
