Tyra Banks Dedicates New Ice Cream Shop To Her Mom In Emotional Surprise
Tyra Banks brought her mom, Carolyn London, to tears with a surprise in Sydney, Australia.
Sharing the moment on Instagram, the former America’s Next Top Model host took her mother to preview her new flagship Smize & Dream ice cream shop. When Ms. London saw the storefront, she immediately broke down:
“Oh my God, it’s beautiful… You worked so hard and I get to see! It’s like a dream.”
Tyra’s mom explained why the moment hit so deeply:
“Years and years ago, when I was working so hard as a single mom… I worked two jobs. I worked three jobs… and the way we would celebrate each week that I got through is I would take her for ice cream in Hollywood.”

She added, “We would sit in the car and talk about what we wanted out of life… and that ice cream was so special for us.”
Tyra, also emotional, told her mom:
“It’s crazy, Mom, because when I look at everything, I can’t believe this is real. Yeah, it’s my dream, but it’s more than what I dreamed. Mama, this is dedicated to you.”
