Mariah Carey Confirms Her New Album Is Finished w/ ’11 Or 12′ Songs + Reveals Second Single Is Coming Soon: ‘It’s Very Summery’

Mariah Carey is officially making her return to music with a brand-new album!

The music icon recently spoke with Apple Music, confirming that her 16th studio album is complete and will feature 11 or 12 songs, including some of her signature ballads.

A few weeks ago, Mariah dropped the project’s first single, “Type Dangerous,” which was met with praise from fans. During her Apple Music interview, she teased that a second single is coming soon, adding:

“It’s very summery. I like the beat as well.”

This upcoming release marks her first album since 2018’s Caution.
