The Broward Sheriff’s Office has now confirmed that the father did not place the child on the railing, despite what some social media posts claimed. “The information was erroneously reported on some social media sites,” they told CBS News.
The Sheriff’s Office also praised the crew’s response, calling it a “successful ocean rescue,” and Disney Cruise Line released a statement commending their staff’s “exceptional skills and prompt actions.”
