‘Married To Real Estate’ Hosts Egypt Sherrod & Mike Jackson Announce HGTV Show Received Emmy Nod After Being Canceled

Talk about bittersweet.

Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson just revealed that their HGTV show Married To Real Estate has been nominated for an Emmy shortly after learning it was canceled.

In a video posted to social media, Mike said,

“Y’all not going to believe what we just heard. We just got some unexpected news.”

The couple had just returned from vacation when they received a text letting them know the show had been nominated.

Egypt laughed and said,

“We might be the first show to get nominated after we got canceled.”

Mike followed up with,

“God is all in the mix over here.”

The full Emmy nominations list will be released Thursday (July 10) at 12PM ET.
