UPDATE: Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, Who Went Viral For Allegedly Getting Caught Cheating On His Wife, Did Not Release Previous Statement, Company Says

Update (July 18): Andy Byron, the man who went viral after getting caught allegedly cheating on his wife on a Coldplay concert jumbotron, did not release an apology statement, his company said.

Byron’s company Astronomer CEO told TMZ the viral message is “not a real statement.”

In the statement, someone perpetuating to be Byron apologized to his wife and staff for the incident, and seemingly called out Coldplay for putting him on the Jumbotron to begin with.

As for whether Byron will issue a real statement, Astronomer didn’t confirm if he plans to speak out publicly.

Original Story (July 17): Astronomer CEO Andy Bryon has issued a public apology after a viral video from a Coldplay concert in Boston appeared to show him in an intimate moment with his company’s HR director, sparking allegations of an affair.

“What was supposed to be a night of music and joy turned into a deeply personal mistake playing out on a very public stage,” Bryon said in a statement. “I want to sincerely apologize to my wife, my family, and the team at Astronomer. You deserve better from me as a partner, as a father, and as a leader.”
