Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s cause of death has been confirmed as officials in Costa Rica complete his autopsy.
The beloved actor, who passed away after what was previously described as a “drowning incident,” died of accidental asphyxiation by submersion, the Judicial Investigation Agency confirmed to People. His autopsy was completed on Tuesday (July 22).
“A funeral service company hired and authorized by Mr. Warner’s family,” will remove The Cosby Show star’s body from the Judicial Morgue.
Warner was body surfing in Costa Rica when he sadly drowned over the weekend, a source told People.
