Birdman Says He Wants DJ Akademiks To Lead A Cash Money Documentary: ‘I Can’t Do It w/ Nobody But You’

Looks like Birdman is ready to team up with DJ Akademiks for a Cash Money documentary. ?

The two recently chatted over the phone on Akademiks’ livestream, where they touched on a possible interview-style podcast that would give Birdman the space to dive deep into the founding and rise of Cash Money Records, which helped launch the careers of notable rap stars like Lil Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj.

But as Birdman began throwing out ideas for the project, Akademiks suggested that a podcast might not be big enough, instead recommending they turn it into a full-blown documentary.

Birdman seemed more than excited by the idea, telling Akademiks: “I can’t do it with nobody but you, Ak.” Akademiks assured the hip-hop legend that he was all in and ready to commit to making it happen.
