Gloria Estefan Speaks Out After Lawsuit Links Her Husband Emilio To Alleged Assault At Diddy’s Miami Home: ‘No Such Thing Happened’
Gloria Estefan is pushing back after she and her husband, Emilio Estefan, were named in a lawsuit involving Diddy.
In a new court filing, Gloria “categorically denies each and every allegation” made by a man named Manzaro Joseph, who accused Emilio of being involved in an incident at a party allegedly hosted at Diddy’s Star Island home back in 2015.
Joseph said he was transported via a secret tunnel from the Estefans’ mansion to Diddy’s, where he claimed he was sexually assaulted. He even alleged that Gloria tried to call an ambulance after witnessing his physical state, but Emilio thwarted that plan.

In her statement, Gloria said, “No such thing happened. […] There was never any ‘tunnel’ between the two houses. […] I was never in [Diddy’s] house, and [Diddy] was never in either our residence or family house, except after [Diddy] purchased the family house in 2021.”
Gloria said the allegations arrived at the worst possible time: “The time period in which this suit was filed was, therefore, crucial for the planned marketing and promotion of not only [two of my new] songs, but the album itself. The negative publicity, which persists, thwarted our marketing and promotional efforts, no doubt causing significant financial harm in lost sales.”
On July 24, the court dismissed all claims against Emilio, though the plaintiff was given time to amend his lawsuit.
