Drake Seeks Evidence Of Domestic Violence In Kendrick Lamar’s Personal Life Amid Legal Dispute w/ UMG, Internet Reacts
The internet is calling out Drake for his interesting demands in his lawsuit against UMG.
If you haven’t been living under a rock, you know that Drake filed a defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group over Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy-winning diss record, “Not Like Us.” Amid the legal back-and-forth, UMG handed over a redacted version of Kendrick’s contract to Drake. However, the Toronto native was unsatisfied, claiming the document was “virtually unreadable and incomprehensible.”
Drake’s legal team asked the court to compel UMG to produce texts and emails from chief executive Lucian Grainge as well. The Toronto native believes that “Grainge was personally involved in decisions made regarding the marketing and promotion of [Not Like Us] around its release.”

The requests from Drake don’t end there. Among other things, he’s also after information from the music corporation related to paternity allegations and claims of domestic violence he made against Kendrick during the height of their feud last summer. UMG, which represents both Drake and Kendrick under different divisions, has continued to deny the claims from Drake and his camp. And once again, hip hop lovers have entered the chat, with many arguing that Drake has taken things too far.
What do you think? Is this strictly a business move, or is Drake just a sore loser?
