Regina King Says She Thinks Of Late Son Ian Desduné ’24/7′ & Honors Him Through New Wine Brand Inspired By His Creativity: ‘If You See Me, You See Ian’
Regina King says the loss of her son Ian Desduné in 2022 reshaped her entire outlook.
“Now, I understand that sadness and happiness can be happening at the same time,” she told Haute Living. “I one thousand percent live in the moment more.”
Ian’s memory lives on through MianU, King’s new orange wine. “His art, his creativity, it’s all in there,” she said. “This is my way of creating something new, together.”
She thinks of Ian “24/7,” adding, “If you see me, you see Ian.”
In a past “Good Morning America” interview, King recalled his struggle with depression.
“People expect it to look a certain way,” she said. “He didn’t want to be here anymore. That’s a hard thing for others to receive.”
“Grief is love that has no place to go,” she added. “I speak about him in the present. He is always with me.”
Prayers to Regina and her family, as they continue navigating this loss.
