According to reports, two children, ages 8 and 10, were k*lled and 17 others injured when a $hooter opened fire through the windows of Annunciation Catholic School during morning Mass.

Police identified the g*nman as 20-year-old Robin Westman. He was armed with a r*fle, shotg*n, and p*stol, and after firing dozens of rounds, he is believed to have taken his own life.

Hennepin Healthcare and Children’s Minnesota said they received multiple young patients, with several in critical condition.

A mass $hooting has been reported at a local Catholic school, leaving at least 20 people injured early Wednesday morning (August 27).

Police responded around 8:40 AM to Annunciation Catholic School, a pre-K through 8th-grade campus, during the school’s first week back in session. According to the school’s website, a schoolwide mass was scheduled for 8:15 AM, with the first report of the shooting coming in around 8:27 AM.

Federal agents, state patrol, and local law enforcement quickly arrived at the scene. Authorities have not yet shared the conditions of the victims. The suspect was reportedly a man dressed in all black and armed with a rifle. CNN reports he d*ed at the scene from a self-inflicted g*nshot wound.

Governor Tim Walz issued a statement shortly after, saying: “I’m praying for our kids and teachers whose first week of school was marred by this horrific act of violence.”

President Trump also reacted to the tragedy, saying he had been briefed and was asking the public to “pray for everyone involved.”

City officials have since stated that the situation is “contained.” More details are expected as the investigation continues.
