Nick Cannon Unsure He’d Have
12 Kids If He Had Taken Time To Heal After Mariah Carey Divorce
#NickCannon is reflecting on how his life might have unfolded if he’d taken more time to heal earlier.
During a conversation with The Breakfast Club, he revealed that having 12 children was, in part, a response to past trauma. The multi-hyphenate celeb admitted he now realizes his family dynamics could have been different if he had “thought the process through a little bit more.” When asked if he would still have 12 kids had he done the work beforehand, Nick candidly responded, “I don’t know.” He added, “Every child I have was made out of love, and there were strong relationships. It’s just — if I had done the work and healing after getting divorced, I probably would have taken my time in a lot of other scenarios.”
Nick shares his children with six different women. While he acknowledged the need for healing following his split from #MariahCarey, he also noted that monogamy still isn’t for him.
