Mariah Carey revealed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that she’s sitting on an unreleased collaboration with Michael Jackson — but fans may never get to hear it.
“They’re doing something really huge for him, Michael, and you know this is a song that would usurp the situation,” Carey explained, admitting she’s “so upset that it’s not coming out on this album.”

According to the singer, the track is built around one of Jackson’s classics. “Every time I would play it for somebody, they’d be like, ‘Wow,’” she said. Carey added that she sang alongside the King of Pop and even recorded new background vocals.
But the decision isn’t in her hands. “If someone just calls his management and tells them we want to hear this!” she urged, hinting that Jackson’s estate is holding back the release.
