Delta says the collision was low speed and involved Endeavor Air Flight 5047, arriving from Charlotte, and Endeavor Air Flight 5155, which was set to depart for Roanoke.
Preliminary reports indicate the wing of Flight 5155 struck the fuselage of Flight 5047.
One flight attendant suffered a minor injury and was treated on site before being transported to a hospital.
Flight 5155 was carrying 32 people (28 passengers and 4 crew), while Flight 5047 had 61 people onboard (57 passengers, 4 crew).
A passenger on Flight 5047 recorded video showing visible damage to the other aircraft’s wing; aboard, the pilot announced that “it seems as though there’s an aircraft that collided with us.”
Authorities say airport operations weren’t disrupted. Passengers were escorted off via shuttle buses; Delta offered hotel accommodations and rebooked onward flights for those affected.
Delta also issued a statement confirming their team is investigating the incident and emphasizes that customer safety is their top priority.
