OnlyFans CEO Says Platform Has Paid Creators $25 Billion Since 2016
#OnlyFans seems to be paying its creators well.
CEO Keily Blair said the platform has paid out $25 billion to creators since launching in 2016, speaking Tuesday (Oct. 21) at Bloomberg Tech in London. Emphasizing the company’s focus on creator earnings, she noted, “There’s not very many tech companies that can talk about creating wealth for others rather than just profiteering, essentially… For us as a company, that makes us very proud.” Blair also clarified that OnlyFans is U.K.-founded and U.K.-based, even if it’s often mistaken for American. She added that the U.S. remains the company’s largest market, but said there’s a “healthy number” of British users as well.
Over the years, plenty of celebs have even signed up, including #BhadBhabie, #SouljaBoy, Amanda Bynes, Iggy Azalea, and #Tyga. And while adult content is common on the platform, not everyone uses it for that.
