Rob Kardashian “In a Better Place” as He Returns to TV: “He’s Way More Comfortable With Who He Is”

Rob Kardashian is “in a better place” these days, according to a source speaking with People. After years of withdrawing from the public and dealing with body-image and self-confidence struggles, the source says the 38-year-old is “way more comfortable with who he is.”

The reality-TV star made his return to television in the premiere of The Kardashians Season 7, which aired on October 23 and marked his first appearance on the show since 2016. According to the source, Rob “seems open to appear on the show more often.”

That new openness comes after years of keeping a low profile following the end of his relationship with Blac Chyna, with whom he shares daughter Dream Kardashian, now 8. The source adds that Rob has reached “a point in his life [where] he just doesn’t care as much what anyone thinks.”

When it comes to his past, the source says Rob “really struggled with body issues and self-confidence for years,” but now “negative comments don’t bother him anymore.”

On his own podcast appearance earlier this year, Rob offered insight into his mindset: “I’m not comfortable in my skin, so why would I wanna go be on camera and just be vulnerable and let people in? That’s not what I wanna do.” He went on: “There’s definitely nothing wrong between any of us,” referring to his family relationships. And he also said: “I like being around my family, so that stuff is good to me. Obviously, I have nothing against it. The reason I don’t is because I’m a homebody and I just choose, like I said, my peace and happiness.”

Meanwhile, the source says that Rob’s scenes on the show are “light and unscripted,” adding that “there is no pressure on him. And he enjoys it.”
