Megan Thee Stallion Speaks Out After Winning Defamation Lawsuit Against Blogger Milagro Gramz: Not Y’all Still Get On The Internet Lying After Losing’
Megan Thee Stallion and her team wasted no time shutting down claims from Milagro Gramz’s camp.
After #MeganTheeStallion, real name Megan Pete, won her defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Cooper, aka #MilagroGramz, the rapper’s legal team issued a statement clarifying that the $75,000 awarded by the jury may not be the final amount Milagro owes.
According to Megan’s attorneys, “Contrary to public statements issued by Milagro’s attorneys, the court has not issued a final judgment regarding the defamation count. The judge will make a final ruling and determine the entire financial amount that Milagro will be required to pay Megan, inclusive of legal bills and the defamation count, at a later date.”
Their clarification came shortly after Milagro’s team released a statement of their own, saying, “Evidently, the jury did not believe that Ms. Cooper was the sole cause of Ms. Pete’s emotional distress, and that is reflected in their verdict. The jury’s verdict also reminds us all that you cannot sue media defendants without providing the proper due process.”
Milagro later shared a video online thanking supporters and appearing to throw shade at Megan. The rapper also backed her attorneys’ message and seemed to respond directly to the situation, writing, “Not y’all still get on the internet lying after losing.”
What are your thoughts on the back-and-forth following the verdict???
