50 Cent Says He Made Diddy Docuseries
“Sean Combs: The Reckoning” So It’s Clear Everyone In Hip Hop Isn’t Okay w/ What’s Going On
Have you checked out #50Cent’s latest project, Sean Combs: The Reckoning?
In a conversation with #GQ, 50 opened up about what drove him to executive produce the docuseries, which focuses on the alleged heinous actions of Sean “Diddy” Combs over the years and the music mogul’s high-profile s3x trafficking trial. Explaining why the project mattered to him, 50 said, “To be honest, just the culture itself. If someone’s not saying something, then you would assume that everybody in hip-hop is okay with what’s going on because [other rappers] will say, “I ain’t going to say nothing. I’m going to mind my business,” because of a position that [#Diddy] held in culture for so long, you understand? So [that] would leave me. Without me saying that I will do it, there’s nobody there.”
Given their complicated history, 50 was also asked whether there’s a “50 Cent agenda” behind the #Netflix series. He pushed back on that idea, responding, “No. If it was, I would’ve focused on the fact that you’re the only man in jail for transporting male s3x workers.”
Sean Combs: The Reckoning premiered on Netflix on Dec. 2 and has already climbed to the No. 1 spot on the platform.
