Bow Wow Questions Whether Networks Should Still Host Music Award Shows
Is it time to rethink how music award shows are handled?
Bow Wow seems to think so. The rapper-turned-actor has sparked conversation after questioning whether traditional TV networks should still be hosting music award shows. In a post, he suggested that music streaming services and digital platforms like #YouTube and #TikTok might be better suited to “take over” the space.
“Is it fair for networks who don’t play music or show music videos to even have music award shows?” he wrote, before adding, “Should the online companies take over? For example: YouTube Awards, Spotify Music Awards, Apple Music Awards, TikTok Music Awards, etc.”
What do you think? Does #BowWow have a point?
