Afrobeats Star Davido Says He’s Taken Five DNA Tests To Prove He’s NOT The Father Of Young Girl Claiming They re Related
In the words of #Maury, Davido: “You are not the father.”
The Nigerian-American superstar took to X to shut down long-running paternity allegations.
For context, a young girl recently publicly asked Davido to take a DNA test, saying she wanted answers after years of rumors that he could be her father. The claims gained traction over time, with the girl’s mother even creating an Instagram account dedicated to the situation.
Davido, born David Adeleke, says he ultimately agreed to testing, and then some. According to the singer, he took five DNA tests to remove any doubt. Sharing the results, he wrote, “After 5 DNA test … she Dey crase ..her and her mom better leave me the f*ck alone and go find her papa …” Responding to a fan who asked whether he knew the alleged mother, he added, “Never met the b*tch … except when went For the DNA … very stupid behavior I will soon treat their FK … 5 f*cking hospitals just to be clear .. the mom needs to go to jail … I don’t blame the poor girl ..”
He also explained why multiple tests were conducted, writing, “Yes I chose 3 hospitals and they chose their own two hospitals .. all came out Negative .. this is the last time I’m speaking on this nonsense.” Despite #Davido’s statements, the child’s Instagram account still lists “Davido’s oldest daughter” in its bio.
