50 Cent & Netflix Accused Of Twisting Alleged Victim’s Story In New Diddy Documentary
Lawsuit
Months after its debut sparked controversy, a 50 Cent-produced Netflix docuseries is now at the center of a lawsuit filed by a former s*x worker who appeared in the film.
Clayton Howard has sued both Netflix and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson over “Sean Combs: The Reckoning,” alleging his testimony was misrepresented through editing. According to the complaint, his account was “distorted” to support a specific narrative.
“Defendants deliberately edited, distorted, and misrepresented plaintiff’s account to portray Cassie Ventura — plaintiff’s primary trafficker — as a victim, while omitting and suppressing plaintiff’s testimony that he was s*x trafficked by Ventura,” Howard alleges, according to Billboard
He further claims, “This calculated misrepresentation was done in furtherance of defendant Curtis Jackson’s personal and business vendetta against Sean Combs and to create a commercially profitable narrative.”
Howard is seeking damages and wants Netflix to add a notice stating accounts are “edited and may not reflect complete testimony.” Neither Netflix nor Jackson has publicly responded.
