Sources close to the musicians tell TMZ that rumors suggesting #SZA, 36, and Shaboozey, 30, are the next Hollywood couple to watch out for are completely untrue. Insiders stress that while the pair are friends, they have never been romantically involved.

Speculation first sparked in 2025 after fans read into a brief interaction between them at the American Music Awards, followed by #Shaboozey sharing, and later deleting, an Instagram post that included a clip of SZA. The rumors resurfaced once again when both attended the #GQ Men of the Year event in November. Even so, sources remain adamant that the connection is purely platonic and that the two have never dated.
