More has come out about James Pearce Jr.’s recent arrest.

The #AtlantaFalcons linebacker allegedly struck a police officer with his Lamborghini while trying to escape law enforcement after a heated encounter with his ex, #WNBA star Rickea Jackson, according to police documents reviewed by TMZ. Officers say Pearce’s actions came during the dramatic aftermath of an alleged domestic dispute. Jackson told police she had recently ended their three?year relationship and blocked Pearce’s number, but he continued contacting her.

According to the report, Jackson noticed Pearce’s SUV behind her as she was leaving an apartment complex, and he allegedly chased her, at one point “intentionally collided into the rear of her vehicle,” police wrote, before cutting her off and crashing head?on with her car near the Doral City Police Department.

When officers arrived and tried to detain Pearce, they say he ignored commands, locked his doors, and then struck an officer “in the area of his left knee intentionally in an attempt to evade arrest.”After a brief pursuit, Pearce crashed his car, fled on foot, and was ultimately taken into custody on multiple charges.

As reported, Pearce was booked on several charges, including two counts of aggravated battery with a de@dly weapon, aggravated stalking, and fleeing or eluding police. During his first court appearance from his #Miami jail cell, bond was set at $20,500, and a stay?away order was issued requiring him to keep his distance from Jackson.
