Quavo is reportedly facing a significant tax issue with the federal government.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) filed a federal tax lien against the rapper — whose legal name is Quavois Marshall — alleging he owes millions in unpaid taxes.
The lien was reportedly filed in January and covers three separate tax years, with the IRS claiming unpaid balances for 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Documents cited in the report claim Quavo owes $915,660 for 2021, $887,486 for 2022, and $1,109,497.79 for 2023.
Altogether, the IRS alleges the rapper owes $2,912,644.33 in back taxes.
It’s currently unclear whether the balance has been paid or if Quavo plans to challenge the lien, as no public response from the rapper or his representatives has been reported.
