Tee Grizzley Enters Real Estate Game – Rapper Backs $12 Million Detroit Apartment Development
Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley is expanding his empire beyond music and into real estate.
The “First Day Out” rapper is backing a proposed $12 million development project in Detroit’s rapidly growing Brush Park district, according to a new report.
Plans call for a five-story mixed-use building that would include residential apartments along with commercial space on the property.
The project would be constructed on vacant land in the neighborhood, which sits just outside downtown Detroit and has seen major redevelopment in recent years.
Grizzley — whose real name is Terry Wallace — is participating in the project as a financial backer, while a Detroit-based development team is expected to oversee the day-to-day work on the project.
If approved, the building would add another new residential development to the revitalized Brush Park area as Grizzley continues expanding his business ventures beyond music.
