Method Man Calls Out Rock Hall Fan Vote Over Alleged Bot Activity – Says It’s “Not Fair”
Method Man is sounding off on the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame fan vote after spotting what he believes may be suspicious activity on the leaderboard.
The Wu-Tang Clan member shared the current standings on Instagram, where New Edition had surged past the 1 million vote mark, with Phil Collins, P!NK, Luther Vandross, Shakira, INXS, and Sade also ahead of Wu-Tang in the rankings. The legendary hip-hop group was shown with just under 600,000 votes at the time of his post. The official Rock Hall ballot confirms both Wu-Tang Clan and New Edition are among this year’s nominees.
In his caption, Method Man made it clear he’s happy to see the group nominated, but suggested the public vote may not be entirely organic. He wrote that while the nomination itself is “very cool,” what “isn’t cool are bots getting involved in the voting,” adding that it’s “not fair to the nominees or the legit voters.”
Still, the rapper kept the message respectful, congratulating all of the nominees and wishing them luck as the fan vote race continues ahead of the Class of 2026 announcement. Inductees are expected to be revealed later this month.
