[UPDATE] Rapper Lil Tjay Denies Involvement In Offset Shooting Following Arrest For Disorderly Conduct & Alleged Brawl Over
$10,000 Gambling Debt
#LilTjay is claiming he had nothing to do with Offset getting shot. In a statement released by his attorney, the “false rumors” were slammed, adding, “Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false. We encourage people to consult trusted news sources and to verify the accuracy of any reporting before reflexively sharing or repeating baseless rumors.”
While no charges related to a shooting have been filed against Lil Tjay as of Tuesday (Apr. 7), he is currently behind bars on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct affray charge, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. His bond has reportedly been set at $500. Offset was shot last night outside a #Florida casino, and it’s highly speculated the incident stemmed from a wild brawl between the rappers and their entourages over money Offset is said to owe Lil Tjay.
Last year, the “Calling My Phone” artist accused Offset of being “broke” and dealing with a gambling addiction. According to Lil Tjay, he had to come to #Offset’s rescue, lending him $10,000 at a casino to settle a debt he was “panicking” about. Apparently, when it was time to repay the funds, Offset refused, allegedly telling his former friend to “get it back in blood.”
