[UPDATE] Wireless Festival Canceled After Headliner Kanye Is Banned From Entering UK
Seems like everyone isn’t ready to forgive #KanyeWest for his controversial antics.
Kanye, also known as #Ye, has been barred from entering the United Kingdom, prompting the cancellation of the 2026 Wireless Festival. The UK Home Office revoked his Electronic Travel Authorisation after determining his presence would not be conducive to the public good, a decision tied to backlash over his past antisemitic remarks.
Festival organizers confirmed the event would no longer go ahead following the government’s move, stating: “The Home Office has withdrawn Ye’s ETA, denying him entry into the United Kingdom. As a result, #WirelessFestival is cancelled and refunds will be issued to all ticket holders.” They also noted “multiple stakeholders were consulted” when it came to selecting Kanye and “no concerns were highlighted at the time.” However, the statement added, “Antisemitism in all its forms is abhorrent,” acknowledging the broader impact of Kanye’s past actions.
Kanye was set to headline all three nights of the July festival, but his inclusion sparked widespread criticism from political leaders, community groups, and sponsors, with big manes like Pepsi and Diageo dropping from the event altogether.
