Offset Accuses Security Guard Of Spitting On Him Before Dispensary Fight – Denies Punching Him In Lawsuit
Offset is pushing back against a lawsuit accusing him of assault — and now he’s claiming the situation started after a security guard allegedly spit on him.
According to new legal filings, the rapper denies accusations that he attacked a guard during a March incident at a Los Angeles marijuana dispensary. The guard, identified as Jim Sanchez, previously alleged that Offset punched him after being asked to show identification.
But Offset is telling a very different story.
In response to the lawsuit, he claims the altercation was provoked — alleging Sanchez spit on him, which led to the confrontation. His legal team argues that the guard’s behavior contributed to what happened and that he shouldn’t be entitled to damages.
The guard, however, says the situation escalated after Offset became upset and allegedly struck him in the face, with claims that members of the rapper’s crew also got involved. He’s seeking more than $25,000 in damages tied to the incident.
Offset has pleaded not guilty to a related misdemeanor charge and is asking the court to dismiss the lawsuit entirely, while also seeking to have his legal costs covered.
As the case continues to unfold, the situation remains a classic he-said, he-said — with both sides pointing fingers over who really sparked the dispensary clash.
