Rumors surrounding Stefon Diggs and Cardi B heating things back up appear to be gaining momentum after the pair recently reunited publicly multiple times following their reported split earlier this year.

According to a source speaking with PEOPLE, Cardi initially distanced herself from the relationship in February after dealing with trust issues and emotional tension.

“Cardi pulled away from the drama in February,” the source said. “She didn’t trust him and felt like things were going on behind her back. She wasn’t in a place emotionally to deal with fighting and tension.”

The source added that the rapper focused on completing her Little Miss Drama Tour and maintaining “stability for her kids.”

Cardi and Diggs welcomed a son together in November 2025, while she also continues navigating an ongoing divorce from estranged husband Offset.

Despite the rocky period, the insider claimed the relationship door never fully closed.

“He stepped it up a few weeks ago and showed her that he wants to make it work,” the source shared. “It was enough of an effort to get her attention. She still cares about him a lot.”

The pair recently fueled reconciliation rumors after showing PDA at Diggs’ Mother’s Day charity event in Washington, D.C., following several public appearances together over the past few months.
