Ne-Yo Says Managing 3 Girlfriends Is ‘Not As Difficult As You Would Think’
R&B singer Ne-Yo is opening up about the realities of balancing multiple romantic relationships, insisting his polyamorous lifestyle is far less complicated than many people assume.
During a recent appearance on the “Sorry We’re Cyrus” podcast, the “So Sick” hitmaker discussed his relationship with girlfriends Cristina, Arielle, and Moneii, revealing the group has officially been together for about three years. According to Ne-Yo, the dynamic works because everyone involved understands the importance of communication, patience, and mutual respect.
“We are a family. We love each other, and it’s a beautiful thing,” he shared. “It’s not as difficult as you would think.”
The Grammy-winning singer explained that maintaining the relationship requires emotional maturity from everyone involved, especially when it comes to sharing time and attention.
“It definitely takes a mindset,” Ne-Yo admitted, adding that each woman has her own personality and emotional needs. He later described the relationship as a “labor of love.”
The singer also pushed back on the idea that polyamory is solely centered around intimacy.
“People hear it…and they instantly go to sex,” he said. “Sex is one very small [part] of a much larger pot. It’s community above anything else.”
Over the weekend, Ne-Yo celebrated the trio’s anniversary on Instagram, calling their bond “real” and describing his partners as blessings in his life.
