Carmelo Anthony had a sharp response after a Threads user questioned the NBA’s choice of former players for a basketball discussion.
The exchange started when social media user, tannerscranium wrote, “So let me get this straight, the NBA hired Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady to talk about what it takes to win basketball games at the highest level?”
The post appeared to take aim at the retired stars’ championship résumés, suggesting they were not the best picks for the conversation.
Anthony, however, wasted no time firing back. The NBA legend replied simply, “CLOWN,” quickly turning the criticism into a viral moment.
