Michael Jackson’s big-screen story is heading home while still proving its power at the global box office.

The Michael Jackson biopic “Michael” is officially getting a premium digital release after a massive theatrical run that has pushed the film near $850 million worldwide.

Lionsgate announced that “Michael” will be available to purchase on digital streaming platforms starting Tuesday, June 9. The film will be offered through Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Prime Video and YouTube Movies & TV for $24.99. It is also expected to be available to rent for $19.99 for a 48-hour period.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the PG-13 film stars Jaafar Jackson, the son of Jermaine Jackson and nephew of Michael Jackson, as the late superstar during his teen and adult years. Juliano Valde portrays Jackson as a child during his Jackson 5 era.

The movie follows Jackson’s rise from childhood fame through his 1988 “Bad” tour. Colman Domingo and Nia Long star as Joe and Katherine Jackson, while Miles Teller plays longtime manager John Branca.

Despite earning a 38% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, fans showed up strong, giving the film a 97% Popcornmeter score. “Michael” arrives on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on July 14.
