Memphis Bleek Defends Jay-Z’s Target Deal Amid Boycott Over DEI Rollback: I Don’t Give A F*ck About That Activism Sh*t’

#MemphisBleek is standing ten toes down behind Jay-Z.

ICYMI, Jay teamed up with #Target to release a special-edition drop of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, sold exclusively at the retail chain. The move raised eyebrows, as Target has been facing a nationwide Black consumer boycott since February 2025 following its rollback of DEI policies.

Memphis Bleek, however, isn’t bothered by the noise. Speaking with DJ Self and his radio co-host, he kept it blunt: “I don’t give a f*ck about that activism sh*t.” The Roc-A-Fella alum — one of the first artists signed to Jay — argued critics are showing “selective rage,” noting plenty of other artists have projects sold at Target. He added that #JayZ doesn’t owe anyone an explanation, saying the “community knows about money” because of him. Whether that settles the debate or not, Memphis Bleek made clear where he stands — and it’s not on the fence.
