RHOA Star Kelli Potter’s Ex Mark Ferrell Denies Liability In Nana’s Chicken-N-Waffles Debt Dispute

Mark Ferrell is pushing back after recent reports tied him to the six-figure debt case involving his ex-wife, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kelli Potter, and her restaurant business, Nana’s Chicken-N-Waffles.

In a statement through his representatives, Ferrell denied any legal responsibility for the ARF Financial judgment that recently made headlines after reports surfaced that Potter’s bank accounts could potentially be targeted for collection efforts related to the debt.

According to the statement, Ferrell was “not named as a defendant” in the ARF Financial lawsuit and has “no legal connection” to the judgment entered against Potter and Nana’s Chicken-N-Waffles LLC. His representatives stated that the lawsuit was filed solely against Potter and the restaurant entity and that both parties allegedly failed to respond to the complaint, resulting in a default judgment being entered in favor of the lender.

The statement appears to be a direct response to previous reports suggesting the debt stemmed from a business loan obtained during Ferrell and Potter’s marriage and that Potter believed her ex-husband should bear responsibility for repayment. Ferrell’s camp disputed that narrative, stating, “The record does not support that claim,” while encouraging media outlets covering the matter to review the applicable court filings before assigning responsibility.

Ferrell’s reps further noted that the ARF Financial matter is “one of several civil matters currently on public record involving Ms. Potter and her business interests,” adding that none of those cases name Ferrell as a party.
