Cam Newton Reportedly Among
Former NFL MVP #CamNewton is reportedly among the latest names cut in #ESPN’s ongoing round of summer layoffs, a surprising move given how quickly he’d risen at First Take.
Newton had signed a multi-year deal with the network last August, stepping into a bigger role on the show as a replacement for Shannon Sharpe, and became a regular sparring partner for Stephen A. Smith throughout the football season. His exit joins a growing list of ESPN departures, including #RyanClark, Karl Ravech, Stephania Bell, David Lloyd, Tom Pelissero, and Charles Davis.

Wow, ESPN is really cleaning house over there. Cutting Cam Newton and Ryan Clark is crazy, they were actually entertaining to watch. All these sports media layoffs are wild tbh. Needed a break from all this bad news so I’m just playing geometry dash on my phone rn. Crazy times.
Major media shakeups keep everyone on their toes, it likes trying to score unpredictable buckets in a goofy round of Basket Random.
