“Word just dropped that Wonder Man won’t be coming back for Season 2… That’s life, right? Everything will shake out.”
The actor went on to thank viewers who watched, enjoyed, and shared the series, saying the response from fans made the project worthwhile. He added that hearing how the show inspired some people “not to give up” and experiencing their support in person meant a great deal to him.
Ending his message on an optimistic note, Abdul-Mateen wrote:
“So, thinking of you all today. I’m glad we got to be a part of something cool. Thank you for watching… And uhh… See you at the EMMYS.”
According to reports, Wonder Man has been canceled despite an earlier Season 2 renewal. While the series will not continue, Marvel is reportedly leaving the door open for some of its characters to appear in future MCU projects.
