Chaka Khan Pushes Back On Assumptions About Her Sexuality: That’s Nobody’s Business But Mine
#ChakaKhan is rejecting assumptions about her sexuality after being asked in a new interview with The Observer about her history of supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
When the question referred to her as a “straight icon,” the 73-year-old “I’m Every Woman” singer shot back, “What’s the straight part? … What do you mean, straight in what way?” After the reporter clarified they meant heterosexual, Khan responded, “How do you know what the f*ck I am? I don’t ever share that part of my life. That’s nobody’s business but mine,” adding that she considers herself an ally to everyone regardless of who they love.
