D’Angelo & Angie Stone’s Son Swayo Twain Cast To Play The Notorious B.I.G. In Snoop Dogg Biopic
Universal’s Snoop Dogg biopic “Snoop” is rounding out its supporting cast, tapping Swayvo Twain — son of the late D’Angelo and #AngieStone — to play the Notorious B.I.G.
The film, starring Jonathan Daviss as Snoop and directed by Craig Brewer from a rewrite of Joe Robert Cole’s script, is set for theatrical release on Aug. 6, 2027. The casting adds to an already stacked ensemble that includes #LaurenLondon as Snoop’s late mother Beverly Tate, Camron Jones as Tupac Shakur, Algee Smith as Warren G, and Myles Bullock Be as Dr. Dre, among others. “Snoop” marks the first major film role for Swayvo Twain, whose music has increasingly nodded to his parents’ legacy. #SnoopDogg himself is producing, alongside Imagine Entertainment’s Brian Grazer and Death Row Pictures’ Sara Ramaker, with the film marking the first project under Death Row Pictures’ new deal with NBCUniversal.
