Chris Brown Demands Receipts After Journalist Claims He’s ‘Still Actively Abu$ing Women To This Day: ‘Show Me Those Charges & Convictions’

#ChrisBrown is pushing back after a journalist accused him of continuing to abu$e women.

Journalist David Dennis Jr. made the claim in a video urging CB’s fans to embrace the full picture of who he is instead of, in his view, constantly making excuses for his controversial history. To make his point, Dennis compared their support of Chris to his own love of “trashy” reality TV — explaining that while he enjoys the genre, he doesn’t try to clean it up or pretend it’s something it isn’t. He argued that Chris’ fans do the opposite, dismissing or making excuses for his actions.

Dennis claimed Chris is “still actively abu$ing women to this day and kind of never stopped,” telling fans, “if you love Chris Brown, love him for who he is, because that’s the real sign of love.” He added they should just admit, “that man backflips so good, that I don’t care that he abu$es women.” Chris wasn’t letting that claim slide and hopped into Dennis’ comments, demanding receipts. Brown challenged him to identify any current abuse charges or convictions involving violence against women, stressing the difference between allegations and proven criminal conduct.

Dennis then fired back by putting the question directly to Chris: “You’ve never laid a finger on or harmed any woman in the past 17 years not once not a single time?… Just want to be clear here.” The back-and-forth comes amid renewed discussion about CB’s history after he accepted a Texas recognition mid-concert from Reps. Venton Jones and #JasmineCrockett. Jones later apologized following backlash, and a frustrated Chris then rejected the honor and asked to be left alone.
